    Quorum On Demand Land alternatives

On Demand Land is an excellent agreement-and-obligation ledger. Navorda covers that ground and continues into the part Quorum does not target: permitting modelled per jurisdiction against approved baselines, risk quantified in days and euros, and SPV and SPA structures — for European rather than US portfolios.

    What On Demand Land does

Quorum Software's On Demand Land is a land management solution for solar, wind and storage developers and operators, described by Quorum as backed by 15+ years of expertise and aimed at the U.S. market. It covers land acquisition, agreement management, GIS mapping and project monitoring; automates land workflows and tracks contractual obligations with custom notifications for critical dates; and uses QAI, Quorum's embedded AI framework, to extract payment schedules, expiration dates, acreage commitments and milestone obligations from agreements, easements and option contracts. It offers API integrations with SAP and Esri, and is a cloud-native SaaS platform meeting SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 compliance.

Which one you should actually buy

We would rather you rule Navorda out in five minutes than discover the mismatch in month four.

    Choose Quorum if…

    • Your portfolio is US-based and your workflows assume US land conventions, title and payment practice.
    • Land agreements and payment obligations are the whole job — you already have permitting and schedule control elsewhere and are not looking to consolidate.
    • You run oil and gas or mixed-energy land alongside renewables and want one land system across both. This is Quorum's home ground.
    • Royalty and land payment automation, and integration with an existing SAP finance stack, are decisive requirements.
    • Procurement requires SOC 2 attestation today. Quorum has it; Navorda does not yet.
    • You want a large, long-established vendor with a substantial North American support organisation.

    Choose Navorda if…

    • You need permits and land in one system rather than a land ledger plus a separate schedule tool reconciled by hand.
    • Your projects run across several European jurisdictions with different permitting regimes.
    • Spanish cadastral data is part of daily work and GML import needs to be self-service.
    • You need to answer "how many days and euros are at risk" at portfolio level, not just "which dates are coming up".
    • SPVs, shareholder structures and SPAs matter to how the portfolio is run and reported.
    • You want your own AI assistant to query the portfolio live through MCP, rather than only the vendor's AI reading your contracts.

    Frequently asked questions

For European developers who need land and permitting together, yes. Navorda covers land securization — plots, counterparts, leases, surface rights, purchases, expropriations, documents and negotiation history — and adds permitting against approved baselines, quantified risk, and SPV and SPA modelling. For a US portfolio where land agreements and payment obligations are the whole job, On Demand Land is the more focused and more established choice.

Three things. It models permitting per country and technology and measures deviation against versioned approved baselines. It quantifies risk in days of schedule and euros of impact, before and after mitigation, rolled up across the portfolio. And it models SPVs, shareholder structures and SPAs as first-class objects, so ownership updates when a transaction executes. A land system is designed around the agreement; Navorda is designed around the project.

Yes. Navorda parses Spanish Catastro GML natively on upload — geometry, cadastral reference, area and reference point coordinates are extracted automatically, with no GIS analyst in the loop — and supports generic geospatial import for other jurisdictions. It runs on PostGIS and MapLibre rather than requiring a separate GIS licence, and coexists with ArcGIS or QGIS where specialist analysis is still needed.

Quorum. That is its origin and its strength, and Navorda does not model oil and gas land. Navorda is purpose-built for renewable and large-scale energy project development — solar, wind, BESS, hydrogen and data center power.
